I hold a PhD in Linguistics and have more than 20 years of experience teaching and preparing students for important exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, and YDS. I have also worked extensively with high-school students and learners preparing for high-stakes exams.

I have taught in both Canada and Turkey, supporting learners at all levels—from beginners to advanced students. My main focus is helping students improve exam writing, academic writing, and clear, well-structured expression.

My teaching style is practical and supportive. I help students understand how exam writing really works, build confidence in their language choices, and produce writing that meets exam and academic expectations without unnecessary stress.

Who I Work With

Students aiming for Band 7+ or higher who are ready to move beyond basic exam strategies.
Learners who value structured, precise feedback and measurable improvement.
Professionals seeking accurate, confident communication in academic or international environments.
Individuals preparing for academic progression, certification, or global mobility pathways.

What I Do Not Do

I do not provide last-minute “miracle” coaching or short-term fixes that lack structural depth.
I do not rely on memorized templates or formulaic responses that limit genuine language development.
I do not promise unrealistic results or guaranteed scores. Sustainable improvement requires structured effort.

How My Approach Is Built

My teaching is grounded in research. I use proven principles from language studies to design lessons that are structured, logical, and effective.
I focus on how language actually works (grammar, structure, meaning, and usage) so students understand patterns instead of memorizing isolated rules.
I also consider how the brain processes language. Lessons are designed to improve retention, clarity, and confidence, making learning more sustainable and less stressful.
Research-Says is built on precision, structure, and measurable progress.
